Pnademic made many games to shut down and yet those developers stayed strong and with contact with us all the time. What was so bad about communication from devs team? You don't like when developers post regular blogs and answer practically all of players' questions? ![]() ![]() It's not unheard of that PlayWay simply pulls a plug, regardless of how to close to release this really is. After all, PlayWay is still behind it so if PlayWay pulls the plug it's bad news for the developers (and for those like me who want to buy the game). We do not know what it means for this particular game. So it's probably a good idea to reorganize the company if hat means afterwards it's organized. Release dates are push out again and again and it is perceived as if developers, moderators and management do not really now themselves what is going on. Development seems to have gone terrible as well if you look at how long this is now on Steam. That said, despite looking great, communication was always poor. The game looks great (otherwise I would have long removed it from my wishlist), there is also progress unlike other games where PlayWay has their fingers on and you only see screenshots as a bait so you wishlist it on Steam. It seems like they have completely different teams on the different games which is fine to be honest - however as I am an outsider I can't speculate on how independent the teams are from each other. Guess going with three different games at the same time was a bad idea, eh ? It's a bit difficult to speculate who works on what. I really don't wanna invest my time energy or commitment in to a game that ( has a VERY high chance of being abandoned, so I'm going to wait and see where this game goes before investing anything in it even though it looks reallllly hopeful.Originally posted by Zack:Well this smell really bad. Just knowing EA is involved makes me think, well. ![]() The gaming industries way of thinking is outdatted and it needs to change. That's a retirment or long term income investment with minimal maint'. Not sure I can speak for every gamer but I for one would happily pay £20 for an old but damned good game over a lot of the half assed stuff that's been coming out lately in the city building and strat genres. If you carried on just a little bit of support so that it'll still be working on future OS platforms and hardware, all that income turns into retirement money. You guys make a great game here and thousands of people are still going to be buying it in 20-40+ years time, including, most likely me. All games that were reallly freakin' good and still are regardless of outdated graphics or not. Rome 1, Medieval, Pharoah, Children of the nile, Sins of the Solar Empire, Starwars: Empire at War to name but a few. A lot of the old, good games are STILL being bought repeatedly by gamers that love them. Their Battlefront game is a shining example.ĮA treats games like a cash cow and a quick money back garauntee scheme, but they're not. Even the ones that were stacked with potential. You got in with a really dodgy gaming company that has a well known history of making half assed, unfinished games. Hmm, if EA are involved, I'm really skeptical.
